Torre del Mar has one of the longest and widest beaches along the coast, almost 4 km of sand running the entire length of the town. There are sports facilities, such as tennis and basketball, along the splendid Paseo Marítimo plus all the usual water sports and activities.
The magnificent Paseo Marítimo is a great place for a wander, a cycle ride or just to sit and watch the world go by. There are green areas along the entire length of the promenade with fountains and play areas for children. The promenade is very flat making it excellent for cycling as well as walking, and there are special bicycle lanes. There are numerous cafes and chiringuitos, along the length of the promenade and sardines cooking on barbecues, often in specially adapted boats, are a common sight.
